The light installation by Gunda Foerster in the atrium of the newly constructed Courtyard 2 in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district represents the transformation of the site—from a center of production to a hub of creativity.
Oversized, ornamental typography spelling out „G212“ bridges the location’s history with its present identity. This striking artwork stands 23 meters tall and 7.6 meters wide, creating a bold visual statement.
The installation’s dynamic light scenes are powered by the advanced Nicolaudie STICK-KE1 control unit, which enables time- and date-programmed color transitions. These evolving light displays invite visitors to engage with the space in ever-changing contexts and perspectives.
